I am an Australian freelance blogger and writer. I spend most of my time with my head in a book, writing books or thinking about reading or writing.
I write adult and romance fiction genres, and am currently in the throes of a fantasy trilogy. Countless short stories are in progress and I have many more sitting and waiting for attention. ย I live in Sydney with my very patient husband, a cheeky baby, a spirited preschooler, and a cat who thinks heโs a dog.
Come on over and friend me on Facebook at Lisa Lancaster.

Hi, I’m glad to find you here from Danny’s blog. I included one post about our travel to Australia. My husband was born in Walla Walla. We didn’t visit his birthplace, but we visited his aunt and uncle and they took us to Blue Mountain. We had a wonderful trip. Congratulations for your almost completed trilogy, and look forward to your publishing. I love when you said you cat thinks that he’s a dog. What does he do?
I invite you to visit and get connected!!

Thanks for coming over and checking it out! The Blue Mountains is pretty close to is in Sydney and we spend much time there. It’s a beautiful place. Toby our cat growls and almost barks. It playful but a little odd.

I hear cat growls pretty loud. Your cat must be very excited to a point that sounds like barking!

Australia, one of the few countries I’ve never visited nor lived, regrettably. Y’all seem so sane compared to us Americans now.

I also wanted to let you know that I’m going to be taking a break from blogging, probably for a week to a week and a half. I’m at a spiritual conference so will be booked up most of the day. Just wanted to let you know in case you didn’t hear from me! I plan to do a blog post tomorrow to let folks know. โค
Abundant blessings your way.

Welcome! It is almost a relief to find people who just ‘get it’. It almost like I can exhale when I’m around other creative people. I don’t have to reign in my craziness all the time.

Oh you are so funny!!! LOL! “I enjoy eating the cake stuck to cupcake wrappers more than the cake.” Heeee-heeee-heeeee, so random and witty. I need me some of that in my life. I’m so glad you did this little blog award questionnaire because I had so much fun reading your answers. My hubs is a Costco freak too ๐ LOLOLOL!!!! Thank you for playing along, I loved it! (I was unable to publish this comment under the Liebster Award blog post)

Thanks! I’m someone appreciates lol! Yep, if you haven’t tried eating the cupcake wrapper cake, then you haven’t lived! It’s obviously a type of person that gets the Costco thing, it’s pretty new in Australia and he is like a little kid in there, it’s a little worrying! Thanks for the nomination! That’s weird! I’ll check it out!

Lisa! Thanks so much for stopping by! I love your cover image. Did you take the photo? And who are your favorite fantasy writers?

Hello Deborah! No problem, thank you for visiting too. Unfortunately no, it was from an image library. Fantasy authors – Gosh. So many, I can’t count them all, but my top five are Sherrilyn Kenyon, Stephen King, Nalini Singh, J.R Ward and Cassandra Clare. Yours?

Nice! Ah, Australian! I’m Canadian, hi there! Oh, I meant to ask you: what’s a doona?? ๐

Hello, my Canadian friend! Thank you. A doona is a duvet or a comforter. You know, I never thought about how Australian the word doona is. I’ll have to watch the colloquialisms.

Ah! I kind of thought so, from the context, but wanted to be sure it wasn’t something else. Like, I don’t know, a pork chop? ๐

I wouldn’t begrudge hiding under a pork chop that big… ๐
