I’m sitting here on the 6:10am train into the city, going through some edits on my fantasy novel, when up pops Andy. Now, most of you have had the unbearable – I mean fascinating experience of meeting Andy in Man meets World and What’s in a name?
I finally came up with a title for my first novel! Hip, hip hooray!
When I was a kid I dreamt of being an actress. When I was on stage, I loved that rush of adrenalin the moment you step out from the wings and onto centre stage. I loved the immediate connection to the audience, the applause, the laughter, and the tears. It was perfect for my impatient nature, and the reward sector of my brain would light up.
I’m in the middle of editing 2 of my novels. Both are at different stages of the editing process. And it is a process, a mind numbing, soul sucking, drudgery of a process.
Look, don’t get me wrong. I love writing and I love editing. Let me rephrase, I love editing other people’s work. My own, not so much.
